Nipple Reduction

The surgery will be done with either local anesthesia with sedation or general anesthesia, so you shouldn’t feel any pain during the procedure itself. Afterward, discomfort, swelling, or sensitivity may occur, but it is usually manageable with prescribed pain medication and lasts only a few days.

For nipple reduction surgery, you’ll typically need a few key appointments. The process begins with an initial consultation, where Dr. Chopra will assess your goals and anatomy. This is followed by a pre-op appointment one to two weeks before surgery to finalize your plan and prepare for the procedure. The procedure is performed on the day of surgery, and then you’ll have follow-up appointments to monitor your healing, usually around one week, three weeks, six weeks, and three months post-surgery.

After nipple reduction surgery, most patients start to see initial results within the first few weeks as swelling and discomfort subside. However, it can take several months for the full effects to become apparent as your breasts settle into their new shape. You’ll notice your nipples appearing smaller, more proportionate, and in a more youthful position. While the initial results are exciting, the final, most refined look typically emerges after about 3 to 6 months as everything fully heals. Throughout this time, Dr. Chopra will guide you in your recovery to ensure your results are long-lasting and beautiful.
